Description
Elysian Shore is a trumpet feature. Starts as a ballad and goes double time in the middle. This piece has a prologue and epilogue with legit woodwind double (oboe and bassoon) BUT these can be omitted easily.
Instrumentation
Standard Big Band (5/4/4/4)
Additional Info
Optional prologue and epilogues are included, which feature the woodwind doubles of the commissioning ensemble. These doubles are alto 1/oboe, alto 2/flute, tenor 1/clarinet, tenor 2/bassoon, and bari/bass clarinet. These are, of course, not the "usual" doubles. Feel free to contact the composer to inquire about rescoring the prologue and epilogue sections for your ensemble.
