It's santa! Vocal Jazz Ensamble w/ Big Band It’s Santa!, commissioned by Brigham Young University Idaho, is an original holiday tune celebrating jolly old St. Nick. The grade 4 up tempo swinger is available in two versions: 1) for vocal jazz ensemble (SATB) with standard big band (5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 3 trombones, bass trombone, piano, bass and drums with optional trumpet 5 and guitar), and 2) for solo vocal with standard big band. The big band scoring is the same for both versions. It’s Santa! has fun lyrics, great energy, a solo for 1st tenor saxophone, richly scored ensemble passages, and in the solo vocal version, a vocal scat solo. It’s Santa! is an ideal addition to any holiday concert.
