Elliot Deutsch
Elliot Deutsch has quickly become one of Los Angeles’ most sought after arrangers. He has written music for Arturo Sandoval, Take 6, The Kennedy Center Jazz Orchestra, Martina McBride, Bill Watrous, and many others. Deutsch’s approach to big band music is through exciting, accessible compositions, influenced by the catalogs of Thad Jones, Sammy Nestico, and Don Ellis.
Elliot earned his Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach.
He has taught at Long Beach City College and Cal Poly Pomona, and is an active clinician of both university and high school jazz bands.
