Pete McGuinness

Pete McGuinness has been a presence on the New York City jazz scene since 1987. He is a three-time GRAMMY nominee for jazz arranging, an award wining jazz vocalist, and for over 30 years was an in-demand NYC-area freelance jazz trombonist, having performed in many well-know jazz big bands and appearing on over 50 jazz CDs. Since 2006, he has headed his own big band. The highly acclaimed Pete McGuinness Jazz Orchestra that has released three CDs on the Summit Records label. Pete currently is a co-leader and of contributing arranger for the new jazz vocal group The Royal Bopsters, and is an Associated Professor of Jazz Studies at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ (USA).
