Description
Commissioned by the Waverly-Shell Rock (IA) Jazz Band II and dedicated to David Gade, this developing band chart is a hip feature for lead alto. It’s set in an even 8th rhythmic style, with the rhythm section parts thoroughly notated. A contrasting middle section features the alto player soloing as written or ad lib. Vibraphone adds a nice color but is optional.

There is no guitar part, but a guitar can substitute for the vibraphone (reading 8va). Lead trumpet range extends to written E above the staff and trombone to Eb.
