Commissioned by Ryan Meyer for the Denison (IA) HS jazz band, this grade 3 blues-based chart is a medium swinger that features a tasty sax soli and some meaty ensemble tutti passages. The head, composed by Ryan, references a couple famous blues tunes. Soloists are wide open, with backgrounds that can be played independently or together. Vibraphone is required; guitar is optional. Lead trumpet and trombone ranges extend to written A and G above the staT, respectively. Rhythm section parts are thoroughly notated.
