Recipient of a GRAMMY nomination for best arrangement, this wry, rollicking chart from the Jazz Surge’s multi-GRAMMY nominated “Whispers on the Wind” album has consistently been a popular festival choice as well as an audience favorite. It’s been adapted from the original to eliminate all woodwind doubles (except for a brief optional flute part). Violin is optional – although highly recommended – and can be played by a non-improvising musician, giving the string player an all too rare opportunity to join in with the jazz ensemble!
