America the Beautiful was arranged by Ed Palermo as a tribute to his father, a recipient of a Silver Star for his actions during the Battle of the Bulge in World War 2. This arrangement requires flutes and clarinets and features a solo by either guitar or organ.
This great arrangement of America, the Beautiful, should be performed at the end of every jazz concert by every jazz ensemble in the United States. It helps to remind us of the values of a democracy and how fortune we all are to be in the United States of America.
