Description

Annika was written in 1993 by Tom Boras who was then the Director of Jazz Studies at New York University.  This chart was dedicated to his daughter, Annika.  The music has a contemporary 8th-note feel that alternates with a psuedo light-funk feel, using different color combinations.  Features soprano sax, piano, and trumpet open solos.  Can shorten or extend the solos.  A refreshing chart with lot of great ensemble figures!
