Description

Armadillo Research is a slow but driving groove in 12/8. The textures range from sparse to complex. Melody is in Flugelhorn, unison saxes and Guitar. The chart features an alto solo, followed by a shout where the saxes and brass battle it out. Another solo section follows with changes for trombone. An ensemble passage featuring the Drums follow the second solo, leading to a return of the melody and gradual fade to the end.
