Description
Written for and recorded by the California State University Los Angeles Jazz Ensemble on their notable 1986 album “We’re Back” (attached recording). 3/4 modal chart that is simple but a beautifully haunting melody with chord changes with a couple of interesting twists. Alto sax and trombone solos give way to nice powerful shout that wraps up the chart. Flute doubles in the 2nd alto sax and 1st tenor sax parts.
