Description
This beautiful ballad was commissioned by the Stanford University Jazz Band and is dedicated to their Director, Mike Galisatus. The lyrical melody is presented by flugelhorn (on the trumpet 2 part) and tenor saxophone 1. The piece features lush harmonies, improvised solos from flugelhorn and tenor and a swinging double time section with a richly scored ensemble statement.
