Starts with a 2-beat unison and counter lines, and then breaks into a great shuffle…a happy tune with lots of room for soloists. This was a favorite of Gerry Mulligan and was from the movie I Want to Live! starring Susan Hayward. Lots of dynamic contrasts to leave the impression of real musicianship. A ‘must have’ for any jazz ensemble library.
