Energetic Latin Jazz chart. A homage to the Hermanas Mirabal (the Mirabal sisters) who stood up against the dictatorship of Rafael Leonidas Trujillo and their code name was the Butterflies. They were assassinated on November 25th, 1960. The United Nations selected that day as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This chart was commissioned by A Woman’s Place from Greeley, Colorado, an institution that empowers victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
