Description

This piece features many twists and turns, starting with 4 full-ensemble altered chords with frantic improvisation by soprano and tenor, then moving into a 5/4 groove with a halftime feel. A contrasting section in ¾ brings back the soprano/tenor combination, adding a bass instrument soli before returning to the 5/4 groove. Solos for soprano and tenor, and exciting material for the entire band including an a capella saxophone soli.
