Description
Haiku is an ethereal, atmospheric even-eighth note ballad featuring the lead alto (written solo plus chord changes provided.) Traditional haiku poetry uses 3 lines of 5, then 7, then 5 syllables. This melody is structured in the same way, using a traditional Japanese scale. Ranges are very reasonable and rhythm section parts are fully notated, making this an excellent ballad for a younger band. The chart also works well with reduced instrumentation.
