Description
"Hot Sticky Rice," a Taiwanese folk song, is commissioned by Taipei Jazz Orchestra. The piece starts with a chorale introduction using motive from the folk song. Melodic transformation of the original melody is used throughout the composition. "Hot Sticky Rice" features piano and soprano saxophone solos.
