Description
New, modern big band treatment of the 1941, MGM “Babes on Broadway” movie musical tune featuring Judy Garland. Jack’s chart of ‘How About You?’ was written for and premiered at the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival by the University of Memphis Southern Comfort Jazz Orchestra. Features the drummer on both brushes and sticks (with solo space) and well as chord changes written into the 2nd Alto Sax, 2nd Tenor sax, 1st Trombone and Guitar parts. Great swinging chart and ensemble writing with nice take on this American Songbook tune and keeps in very recognizable and programable for festivals! Designed a lot like that of music from bands like Terry Gibbs or Woody Herman.
