Description

The alto saxophones share the spotlight in this in-the-pocket medium blues, starting with a unison stop-time melody. The blowing begins with an ensemble send-off, and each alto gets several choruses to stretch out, leading to choruses of 4s and an "a capella" chorus soloing together, topped off with a traditional big-band ensemble shout. Arranged by Scott Whitfield for Sherrie Maricle & The DIVA Jazz Orchestra, recorded on Live In Concert.
