Description
Originally composed for the great Jazz bassoonist Paul Hanson, this blues-based tune begins as a slow swing that eventually settles into a double-time swing (q=132) with an open solo section. This edition uses a tenor saxophonist as the featured soloist. The tenor 2 part is optional to allow it to be performed as full big band fronted by a tenor saxophone guest or use one of the players from the section. Brass ranges, key, and solo changes are friendly and playable.
