Description
In 1937, composer Percy Grainger roamed the English countryside collecting folk song. This selection became the first movement in the suite named "Lincolnshire Posy". Commissioned and recorded bt the Butler University Jazz Ensemble, this arrangement is a good vehicle for a talented trombonist. With lots of pro level lead trumpet playing and a modern modal conception, a university or pro band could shine on this chart.
Instrumentation
Standard Big Band (5/4/4/4) No Doubles.
