Description

Initially performed and recorded with Elvin Jones during my tenure as a band member with Elvin. The composition is reminiscent and inspired by Tony Williams’ Blue Note recording, Spring (B-84216).

Additional Information

The saxophone soli and exchanges with Liebman are based on his solo from the Elvin Jones’ recording, Live at the Lighthouse (B-84447). Some of the passages in the sax soli and brass shout have been simplified from the original arrangement recorded by the DLBB on Live As Always (MAMA-1039). E to I can be open for additional solos.
