This composition was inspired by a Claude Monet painting. The entire scene was painted in shades of green, which was quite unusual for this Impressionist master of color.

From the beginning up to B the rhythmic context is rubato. Conducting is necessary because of the staggered entrances. Once steady time starts at C the chart plays itself to the coda.
