Description
An up-tempo straight ahead opener or closer for advanced bands, PIOMANIA was commissioned by the Lamont Jazz Orchestra at the University of Denver, Lynn Baker-director. The chart can feature Tenor Saxophone 3, Trumpet 2, or Guitar. After the solo section, the chart moves into a funk feel, and then returns to the high energy straight ahead feel for the final section. Trumpet I to written E6 (opt. G6). Optional flute double in Baritone Saxophone 5. Alternate Solo Flute and Baritone Saxophone (“no flute”) parts are included.
