Description

Jazz ballad with a swing feel featuring alto saxophone. Commisioned by Polytechnic High School Jazz (Long Beach, California) and in tribute to two of my favorite jazz composer who have recently passed on (Neal Hefti and Bob Florence). Tight ensemble voicings and an intense shout chorus. Ends with a Dave Brubeck polychord. Requires a strong alto sax soloist.
