Description
“The Cowboy Song” is intended to evoke images of a lonesome cowboy on the prairie-tumbleweeds and everything. Though it has intentional dissonances from time to time for comedic effect, the overall vibe is one of innocence. It is a lengthy feature for the soprano sax (written into the Alto 2 book).
