Many of you may be familiar with my previous instructional book, “Right Hand Drive,” which focuses on right-hand technique. While there were a few dozen pages dedicated to understanding harmony, chord and scale construction and improvisation, I had never intended the text to be a comprehensive study but, rather, a fairly thorough overview. With this in mind, I decided to write this book specifically to deal with my entire harmonic process. To the best of my abilities, I will put everything I have learned down on paper, from the first scale I learned as a kid right up until this very moment.
