Originally written for Jolene Koester, past President of CSUN, and huge proponent for the arts. This contemporary med. Fast swing chart features Tenor 1, Trumpet 3 and Trombone 1 and guitar on the melody. Solo space is for Tenor 1 and Piano, starting off “free” and slowly developing into “blues changes”.

Drums can play a more modern swing groove. Don’t feel compelled to keep hi hat on 2&4. Think Jack Dejonette, Bill Stewart, Tony Williams. …. Etc.
