If minimalist Steve Reich would have written a Basie style chart is this the way it would have sounded? The piece builds and builds from a short, simple motive/riff. Lots of humour and extensive solos for ten 1 and guitar with plenty of exciting and inventive backgrounds. At the end the piece reverses and gets softer and softer to a quiet close.
