Description
‘Upside Out’ was commissioned by the Riverside City College Jazz Ensemble and recorded on the CD “Upside Out” (Seabreeze Jazz/Vista SEAB 4554). Composed in the style of Jim McNeely or Bob Brookmeyer (up-tempo, modern swing) to feature trumpet and tenor sax. It is written loosely around the chord changes of the standard ‘Speak Low.’ Trumpet and tenor sax are featured soloists and carry the tune at several times in the chart.
