Description
Feature for piano with big band of the 1929 Cole Porter standard “What Is This Thing Called Love.” Up tempo swing and does use woodwind doubles: flutes, clarinet, bass clarinet. Well worth the effort if your pianist up to the task! It has a lot of solo space all the way through the chart for a strong keyboardist. This arrangement was written for Alvie Givhan and featured on the internationally acclaimed 2003 Summit Records CD release “Big Band Reflections of Cole Porter” by the Jazz Orchestra of the Delta.
